Code of Ethics Development/Implementation/Monitoring
Taxonomy Code: TP-1950.1400
Programs that help nonprofit organizations and other groups develop, implement and monitor the internal use of a code of conduct which documents and makes available to staff and the public the ethical principles that guide the work of the organization. An organization's code of ethics establishes fundamental values and professional standards of conduct for staff in their relationships with their colleagues, their employers, the people they serve, the human service professionals with whom they interact and the community as a whole. The document should be used to guide programmatic and administrative decisions of the organization; and appropriate actions should be taken when violations of ethical standards occur.
