Service Dog Training Instruction for Owners

Programs that provide training instructions for dog owners who want to train their own animals to become autism service dogs, dog guides, mobility assistance service dogs, psychiatric service dogs, seizure dogs, signal dogs or service animals that provide assistance for people with other types of disabilities. Also included are programs that provide training instructions for working with other types of animals.

Sporting/Working Dog Training

Programs that provide training for gun dogs, herding dogs and other sporting and working dogs in the skills they need to do their jobs or successfully compete in field trials or hunt tests. Training for hunting dogs may include flushing game, pointing, hunting close, retrieving game from land or water and basic field obedience. Herding dogs (breeds such as border collies, Australian shepherds, corgis or Belgian sheep dogs) are taught proper techniques for herding stock including cattle, sheep, goats, ducks or geese based on signals from their handlers.
